The Jonasson Centre gets a new director and two deputy directors

Peta Sjölander is the new Director for the Jonasson Centre for Medical Imaging.
Sjölander is Associate Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health. She has a research background in speech acoustics and communication from UCL in London and has most recently been Director of MedTechLabs (2019-2020) and the KTH Lead for EIT Health (2016-2020).

"It's exciting to join the Jonasson Centre when infrastructure in research is having a greater impact globally", says Peta Sjölander. "Now we want to reach more users".

The Jonasson Centre for Medical Imaging was established in 2014 after a donation from Kerstin och Rune Jonasson. The overall aim of the Centre is for healthcare, technology and research in the region to become world-leading within image function. As deputy directors, Dmitry Grishenkov and Rodrigo Moreno will take scientific responsibility for ultrasound imaging and MRI, respectively.

The Jonasson Centre is located in Flemingsberg, south of Stockholm, and adjacent to the Karolinska University Hospital.
