Electrical Engineering
Collaborate with a group of students in electrical engineering, embedded systems and the internet of things.
About the course
In the course the students will run a project where electrotechnical constructions should be produced. The project, which is carried out by project groups, will follow a commonly used system development methodology and gives the students deeper training in project work with project plans, schedules and problem solving. In the project, the students will have the opportunity to apply knowledge from previous courses in electrical engineering, microcomputer systems, electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, computer networks, etc.
About the students
The students come from the Electrical Engineering program and are usually in their second year.
How
Each year there are about 30 students, and they are divided into about six project groups. Each group has a mentor from KTH who supports the process. They have several meetings and the course ends with a large open presentation where the results are presented and demonstrated, with students and project proposers present. The students also have full access to KTH's lab equipment at KTH Flemingsberg [maker]spaces. There is also guidance to be had on electronics, cloud technology, and programming.
