SI Scholarship Pioneering Women in STEM
The SI Scholarship Pioneering Women in STEM is an exciting new opportunity for female students from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand or Vietnam. The SI Scholarship Pioneering Women in STEM covers the tuition fee of 10 selected master's programmes at KTH and also includes living costs.
How to apply
To apply for the scholarship you need to complete the following two steps by 15 January 2025.
- Apply to one of KTH's master's programmes available for the scholarship (15 October 2024 - 15 January 2025). Information on how to apply for master's studies .
- Notify SI that you have applied to a programme and that you are a candidate for the scholarship by submitting the confirmation form on the Swedish Institute website (1 November 2024 - 15 January 2025).
Requirements
To be eligible for the scholarship you must be a fee-paying female student and citizen of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand or Vietnam. The scholarship is available for applicants to the following programmes:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Chemical Engineering for Energy and Environment
- Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure
- ICT Innovation
- Interactive Media Technology
- Nuclear Energy Engineering
- Sustainable Energy Engineering
- Sustainable Urban Planning and Design
- Technology, Work and Health
- Technology-based Entrepreneurship
Selection process
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence and based on the following criteria:
- The applicant's grades (GPA or equivalent)
- The ranking of the university that awarded the applicant's bachelor's degree
