Documentation

Your application must be supported by the following documentation, sorted in the same order as this list.

  1. Cover sheet (generated from the web-based application). This applies only to applicants without a Swedish personal ID number.
  2. Certificates and diplomas from previous education at an internationally recognised university together with transcripts of records (including course list). All courses taken and grades must be included. Sort them in reverse chronological order, i.e. put the last received document on top. If you upload documentation you should upload original documents unless the country specific information at University Admissions in Sweden says otherwise. If you need to send documents by post to University Admissions in Sweden you need to send certified copies .
  3. Proof of English proficiency .
  4. A copy of your passport or some other document of identification.
  5. Proof that you meet the course requirements of the course(s) chosen, see information in the  course descriptions.

Information regarding documentation

  • Credentials from Swedish Higher Education Institutions that use the Ladok-system will be transferred automatically to Universityadmissions from Ladok when the application has been submitted.
  •  If your Bachelor's degree was awarded by a Swedish university you are not required to send your transcript of records and degree certificate.
  • No documents submitted by mail will be returned. Documents you have uploaded can not be removed from your application.
  • The diploma/degree certificate and transcripts should be in the original language, and in officially certified translations into Swedish, English, French or German, if the documents are issued in any other language than the Scandinavian languages.
  • KTH does not accept any documents by email or fax, any documents sent to KTH by post will be forwarded to University Admissions in Sweden.
  • Incomplete applications or applications not supported by officially certified documentation will not be processed.
