Our research interests span a wide range of areas. We utilize “controlled” polymerizations to accomplished tailored materials that can tackle a problem or a challenge. Recent examples are synthesis of nanoparticles for encapsulation/release of cancer drugs, and surface modification of biofibre surfaces to enhance their performance in composites.

We have a strong interest for bio-based building blocks and to explore them in coating resins. Over the last 10 years we have explored biopolymers and formulations thereof to successfully make formaldehyde-free, all-biobased wood adhesives.
