A conference that can strengthen our ties across departments and disciplines at KTH and attract the cream of innovation management. Next year, KTH will host the R&D Management Conference, Europe's premier gathering on innovation management. Over three days, more than 400 attendees will visit our campus.

The conference, organized by INDEK’s Mats Engwall  and Engineering Design's Mats Magnusson , delves into the heart of "Transforming Industry through Technology.”

“This theme addresses what goes on right now with electrification, digitalization, automation, and climate change mitigation in many industries where we in Sweden claim leadership,” says Mats Engwall.

The conference typically gathers scholars interested in the management of innovation, industrial R&D, and technological change. It's a melting pot of expertise, bringing together technical universities, business schools, and social sciences.

Beyond traditional keynotes and paper presentations, KTH’s conference will craft ’practitioners tracks’ with a strong focus on real-world industrial applications.

“Swedish industry has a reputation of being innovative, and being the host is an opportunity to showcase KTH as an internationally leading technical university with strong research on the managerial and social dimensions of engineering and innovation. We also hope this will strengthen connections across departments and disciplines within KTH.”

Mats Engwall reminds us that Stockholm shines its brightest in June.

”With that setting, an engaging scientific program, a beautiful venue at the KTH campus, and a nice social program including a reception at the iconic City Hall, our goal is to create a conference the participants will remember.”
