Cell Behaviour in Electric Fields

Since 2009, the Division of Neuronic Engineering has conducted a project that studies the behavior of cells in strong electric fields (up to 1 V/mm). Microscope and digital photo technique (TimeLapse) are used to study the cell behaviour over time. The tension is created in specially made cultivation chambers which are a system of reaction cups, salt bridges and a cell culture gap.

Equipment

  • Leica Microscope
  • TimeLapse
  • Chamber for cell culture i in diffenrent designs and sizes
