Electrophysiology for Excitable Cells

Some cells keep their ability to emit electrical signals and react to electrical stimulation, despite having been exposed to this process. It is then possible to cultivate them on microelectrode arrays that can feel oscillations in tension which emerge when the cells signal. It is then possible to study signalling and electrophysiological reactions even down to a cellular level.

Equipment

  • Electrode arrays from MicroChannelSystems
  • 32 channel electrophysiology equipment from AM Systems
