The Division of History of Science Technology and Environment at Sthm+50

"It’s time for bold choices. It’s time for urgent action. It’s time for a better future on a healthy planet." In June, Stockholm will host the UN conference, which draws attention to the fact that it is 50 years since the first environmental conference, in Stockholm. On 2 and 3 June 2022 the Stockholm+50 conference will memorialize the 1972 United Nations Conference on the Human Environment and celebrate 50 years of global environmental action. The Divison and the EHL will participate in several ways, both before and after these days.

  • The legacy from 1972 is a binding brand for Stockholm and a Swedish gold reserve of global goodwill.
