Robust climate adaptation Gävleborg

About

Climate change, with its inherent uncertainties, poses significant challenges to climate adaptation. Our project is establishing a "policy lab", a collaborative environment where researchers and local decision-makers work together to formulate robust strategies for climate adaptation. We utilize robust decision-support methods to navigate uncertainty and craft sustainable solutions. Söderhamn municipality serves as the pilot for this project, aiming to create a new climate adaptation policy that can act as a blueprint for other municipalities.

The project team includes experienced researchers in climate adaptation, risk, and uncertainty management from KTH and Lund University, along with the County Administrative Board of Gävleborg. Anticipated outcomes encompass a solid foundation for climate planning and an enhanced capacity for local climate adaptation. Ultimately, our project seeks to generate knowledge and skills for managing climate change, benefiting all municipalities in Sweden.
