Investments and risk from a mobile operator perspective

The first part of the lecture is an introduction to mobile operator business and the second part is about operator strategy including the a case with the market entrant Yoigo in Spain.

Kenneth Karlberg was with TeliaSonera for more than 20 years holding several leading positions like CEO Telia Mobile AB, Head of BA Mobility Services,  Executive vice president TeliaSonera and President Business Area Mobility Services.

The guest lecture by Martin Kristensson is scheduled 11:00-12:00.

The time slot 10:00-11:00 is allocated for student group work and a first preparation for the operator business game. The groups will hand one page on comparison of operator strategies based on teh HW2 findings.

Dimensioning, configuration and deployment of Radio Access Networks.

Study visit at the Tele 2 office in Kista (5 minute walk from Electrum)
Be at Tele 2 reception at 12:50 latest.

Our colleges at the network and deployment group at Tele 2 will present the principles and some cases of network planning, deployment and roll-out. We will also visit an equipment room of a site and the Network Operations Center (NOC) for the Tele2 networks.
