This course will have three parts. Lecture notes etc. from the first part about Characteristic equations and the last part about the obstacle problem will appear on this page. For other information see the course page on SU: http://kurser.math.su.se/course/view.php?id=327

 The first part of the course will use the following notes: Confusing Notes By John (29th Sept, some less tyops, new version of the proof of Thm 4)

Before there was a link to "Applied Partial Differential Equations" given at Oxford from this page. However the link doesn't work any more. It is however not necessary to have these notes for the course. They contained a few calculated examples and some nice pictures, but they didn't add anything new to the notes above.

The fourth lecture we will mention something about power series expansions of solutions. For that we will use L.C. Evans Partial Differential Equations section 4.6. You will also use Evans book for the second part of the course.
