Short Biography

Anders Andersson received his PhD in 2005 at the Royal Institute of Technology, Department of Biotechnology, after graduate studies on functional genomics. Thereafter he conducted postdoctoral studies at the Karolinska Institute, University of California Berkeley, and at Uppsala University, working on metagenomics approaches to study microbial communities of different environments (the human gut microbiota, biofilms of acidic mines, and bacterioplankton of lakes and the Baltic Sea). Since 2010 Andersson is working as an Assistant Professor (Bitr-lektor) at the School of Biotechnology, Department of Gene Technology, which is located at the Science for Life Laboratory.
