Do you want to improve your team's digital skills in generative AI, presentation techniques or video-based material? E-learning at KTH offers the opportunity to order selected workshops for you as an external person to KTH. Our educational developers will be happy to come to you and lead you through a workshop based on your circumstances and needs. You are welcome to contact us to order a workshop!
How to order a workshop
E-learning has developed several workshops that are available to order by you as an external person to KTH. To order a workshop, do the following:
- Read through the workshops that we offer to external parties (see next section).
- Send an email to
e-learning@kth.se
with the following information:
- Which workshop(s) you are interested in booking.
- Date and time – preferably several suggestions that are at least three working weeks in advance.
- Expected number of participants.
- Information about the participants and/or the purpose of the workshop. This helps us to adapt the structure of the workshop, for example according to the participants' experience and roles.
- Location of the workshop:
- For a physical workshop at your place, please provide the address and the name of the room.
- For an online workshop, please indicate which platform you want to use (Zoom, Teams or other).
- If you want to hold the workshop at KTH, please let us know what you expect from the premise in question.
- Contact person with a phone number for follow-up.
- Your billing information.
Our response time to emails is within two working days.

Have you heard about generative AI but are not sure how to use it in your work? If so, you can participate in this workshop and get hands-on experience using a generative AI tool to streamline your work tasks. We focus on ChatGPT, but other generative AI tools also works.

Increased access to powerful AI brings new opportunities and challenges for how we approach assessment and evaluation. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the effects of generative AI on examination, how to handle the risk of AI-related misleading during examinations, and how we can communicate about AI with your students.

This workshop goes through how you can design, produce, edit and publish recorded presentations in PowerPoint 365, as well as how to easily keep them up to date. The workshop also explains how students study for video material and how to apply some of Richard E. Mayer's design principles to avoid cognitive overload.

Presentation techniques with PowerPoint (90 min)
Do you want to learn how to create effective and appealing presentation materials with PowerPoint? This workshop is created based on expressed needs from both teachers and students, and will help you begin creating course materials that promote learning and cognitive processing. We go through the use of, among other things, visualizations, animations and segmented information, based on Richard E. Mayer's research-based principles of multimedia learning and cognitive load theory.
