Research on Digital Learning

The Digital Learning research group analyzes the opportunities and challenges that technologies bring to education, teaching, and learning. We are studying how technologies are used, how teachers use technology, and how they contribute to the development of learning processes, methods, and technologies that can be used in practice.

Mission and objectives

The mission of KTH’s Department of Digital Learning is to develop e-learning at KTH with the aim of making KTH a leader in engineering education. This is where research and proven experience in digital media and learning come together. Operational objectives for Digital Learning:

To conduct internationally recognised research and development (R&D) on digital media as a support for education and learning, with a particular focus on engineering, mathematics and natural sciences.
To provide training and supervision on digital media as a support for education that our stakeholders, primarily teacher trainees and teachers at KTH, consider to be of high quality.
