KTH startup CodaEasy won Student Superstart in the Venture Cup Sweden Finale 2018

Published Sep 20, 2018

In tough competition, CodaEasy took home the award Student Superstart in the Venture Cup Sweden Finale 2018.

With the motto “simple but not simplified”, CodaEasy has developed Easy, a programming language that enables learning and understanding of programming at the same time as being easy to teach.

- It’s great that the jury believes in us, says Johan Wieslander, cofounder of CodaEasy. It means a lot to us as we continue rolling out the platform in schools during the fall.

CodaEasy is one of the startups in Batch 6 of KTH Innovation's pre-incubator program , a yearlong program for early-stage, tech-based projects from KTH looking to accelerate their development. To succeed in building a business, a lot of things need to fall into place, from building the right team, to creating a product that meets the needs of both the market and the customer.

- CodaEasy has developed very well in KTH Innovation’s process, says CodaEasy’s Business Development Coach, Tom Magnergård. Their timing is perfect, since programming recently became a compulsory subject in Swedish schools. Now, they need to focus on reaching a larger customer base, and up the usage so they can learn more about their customers’ needs, and be able to build the best solution for them.

Congratulations, CodaEasy! Congratulations also to Addresses by Map Project , another KTH Innovation startup that made it to the finale of Venture Cup. Addresses by Map Project has developed a system providing exact, complete and user friendly digital postal addresses to the around 4 billion people who lack a usable address.
