Application now open for the KTH Innovation pre-incubator and Batch 5
The spots up for grabs in the KTH Innovation pre-incubator have been highly sought after in the past few application batches, suggesting being an entrepreneur as well as a researcher or student is popular. We went to investigate and met Sabina von Essen, one of the founders of memoAR.
– We've only just realised the huge amount of help available here in the pre-incubator. From legal and business support to access to a network of experts in our field, says Sabina Von Essen.
When memoAR, designers of software that helps people suffering from demensia using AR glasses, applied to the KTH Innovation pre-incubator the didn't know much about the support but knew they wanted to start a business. Just over a month later their startup has developed substantially despite the short time.
– Our expectations are constantly met and with the support of KTH there is no limit as to what we can achieve, says Sabina von Essen.
At the moment memoAR is busy developing a prototype in collaboration with Cybercom with the objective to finalise it before the summer. At the same time they are in the middle of recruiting a number of sharp developers and the memoAR founder wants more people to take the chance.
– As long as you have the will and curiosity you can achieve anything. I think everyone with an idea should apply to Batch 5! consludes Sabina von Essen.
