Here are KTH’s environmental experts

Published Dec 08, 2009

As we approach the UN’s major environmental conference COP15 in Copenhagen in December, we have prepared a list of some of the environmental experts operating at KTH.

Do you need to get in touch with any of the country’s leading environmental experts? Some of them work at KTH.

Extensive environmental skills

Göran Finnveden, Professor, goran.finnveden@infra.kth.se, ring 08 - 790 73 18.

Göran Finnveden knows where specific expertise can be found regarding the environment at KTH. He will also be able to respond to your questions regarding environmental strategy and relate more about the new educational programmes for sustainable development (Civil Engineering programme in energy and environment / two-year Master’s programme in Sustainable Urban Development) which KTH has just started. Göran Finnveden is the manager of the Department for Environmental Strategic Analysis at KTH.

Ronald Wennersten
Ronald Wennersten, Professor at the Department for Industrial Ecology

Ronald Wennersten, Professor, rw@kth.se, ring 070 - 595 09 00.

Ronald Wennersten works with sustainable development and knows where specific expertise regarding the environment can be found at KTH. He is manager of the Department for Industrial Ecology which deals with systematic analyses which relate to energy, the environment and sustainable development. This includes production and sustainable development as well as the climate issue. Industrial ecology also deals very much with climate-neutral urban areas and the area around Hammarby-Sjöstad has recently been evaluated. He has also recently started a new project with Stockholm Stad to analyse a new part of town that will be environmentally adapted, for example Norra Djurgårdsstaden.
