Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

I chose this programme at KTH for several reasons. KTH provides a wide range of options for students interested in chemistry and chemical technology, including areas like wood sciences, polymers, and coatings chemistry. The many opportunities to explore these fields made it an ideal choice. Additionally, the programme puts great focus on sustainability while studying these areas. I was also drawn to the open and supportive study environment, which ultimately influenced my decision to apply.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

KTH follows a period-based system, where I take a set number of credited courses each semester. This gives me more time to focus on each subject, allowing me to explore my interests even more. The grading system here is quite flexible, including reports, seminars, written, and oral exams. Lab activities are designed to match the course progress, giving a wonderful mix of practical and theoretical learning. The program also has a great international community, with students from different backgrounds. This diversity enriches the learning experience by exposing me to different problem-solving approaches and developing new ways of thinking.

How is student life in Stockholm?

Living as a student in Stockholm feels both comfortable and exciting. I love how the city blends modern living with quick access to nature, making every day interesting and peaceful. It's such a warm and welcoming place, where I can easily connect with different cultures and pursue my hobbies and interests. Also, many benefits are offered to students in terms of housing committees and student bodies. This makes coming and living in Stockholm stress-free. The student groups at KTH and across Stockholm help you meet like-minded people and organise fun activities that create lasting memories. Being surrounded by beautiful nature and serenity truly relaxes my mind and makes studying here a unique and enriching experience.

How would you describe your time at KTH so far?

My time at KTH has flown by very fast! Its been full of adventures and learning, and taught me new ways of thinking. From attending the Interntional Reception organised by the THS at the start of my studies, meeting my professors and batchmates, to the courses and academic work, it has been quite nice. I understood new concepts in chemistry and made friends with people from different parts of the world, everyone with unique experiences to share. I look forward to my remaining time at KTH.
