Research area description

Research within “Corporate Finance, Economics, Accounting and Control” examines how financial decisions, governance structures, and accounting practices shape the behavior, performance, and sustainability of firms and markets. The studies explore how corporations allocate capital, manage risk, report performance, and respond to financial and environmental regulation.

Empirical work addresses a broad range of phenomena, including corporate investment, valuation, and financing decisions, taxation and financial regulation, risk management and insurance, sustainability reporting, and the interaction between policy, technology, and markets. The research engages with theoretical concepts from financial economics, institutional theory, and management control to understand firm behavior in a changing environment.
