Title:

Emotional and Socially Realistic Virtual Human with Personality Framework.

Abstract:

A virtual human is an autonomous character that is capable of capturing all the human's social signals, which are generally displayed through their facial expressions, body gestures, and voice. These signals can be captured by sensors such as a microphone and camera and subsequently analysed automatically. Furthermore, the signals can be synthesised by the virtual human through their virtual embodiment, such as a 2D or computer graphics 3D body. Subsequently, the synthesised signals are captured by the human user through a monitor and speaker, enabling the human user to interpret the signals. In order to build such virtual human, a solid framework required . This seminar aims to present our work towards building Emotional and Socially Realistic Virtual Human with Personality Framework. Several case studies in games and storytelling are presented to explore the opportunities of the framework and models.
