Master programmes
The understanding of the importance of good lighting design in urban areas, buildings and interiors is increasing. Light is fundamental for architecture and essential for human well-being. Lighting quality affects human behavior, comfort, health, efficiency, safety and security.
The profile of our Master Programmes in Architectural Lighting Design is based on a new approach to light and lighting which is a combination of visual, physical and biologically based knowledge and experience applied to design, technology and health.
The educational idea presents a comprehensive view, where theoretical knowledge will be combined with practical application in laboratory experiments, project work and case studies.
The aim of both the one year and the two years programmes is to provide the student with the fundamental knowledge in architectural lighting design, including both electrical and daylight solutions, to take into consideration efficiency, joy, health, sustainability, safety and acceptation by the people who live, work and relax in it.
The second year provides students with an even wider and deeper approach to the topic, applicable both to specialized practice and research.
