Magnus Egerstedt is the Alumnus of the Year
Magnus Egerstedt, F-92, is a Professor in Robotics and Automatic Control at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA, and is one of the highest profile alumni of his generation in the engineering research field. Magnus Egerstedt is appointed the Alumnus of the Year Award for combining research and teaching in an inspiring way. He has embraced new technology to reach more students with his research and has, as the first Swede ever, just finished teaching a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on "Control of Mobile Robots" with over 40,000 students participating. He is a true inspiration to future generations of students and researchers and is a great ambassador for KTH.
