As a visionary, innovator, co-founder and company executive, Karim Engelmark Cassimjee, provides a good example of how you can utilise research. During his time as a doctoral student at KTH, Engelmark Cassimjee built the foundation for what would later become EnginZyme, a company that aims to revolutionise the chemical engineering sector. By learning from, and building on the diversity of nature, Engelmark Cassimjee is showing the way towards a more sustainable approach to production and creating opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint of manufacturing industry. By sharing his experiences with students, former KTH colleagues and his extensive international network, he is an inspiration who demonstrates what young researchers with drive can achieve.
