Find standards
The purpose of standards is to create uniform and transparent routines that many can agree on. There are international and national organisations that develop and publish standards.
As a student or researcher at KTH you have access to standards in several databases. Go to the library’s search tool Primo and choose Databases > Databases by type > Standards
SIS Abonnemang
In SIS Abonnemang you can find national standards from three organisations; Swedish Standards Institute (SIS), Svensk Elstandard (SEK) and Svenska Informations- och Telekommunikationstandardiseringen (ITS). In this database you can find international standards like ISO, CEN, and IEC.
Search for the number of the standard or title. Click on Read standard to look at the standard. If the standard is not in the database, you can suggest a standard with the button “Suggest addition”. If you have made a suggestion, it will be available in a few days.
ASTM Compass
In ASTM Compass you find standards from ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) International.
IEEE Xplore
In IEEE Xplore you find standards from IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology).
SAE Mobilus
In SAE Mobilus you find over 42000 standards from SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). The database contains resources within the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries.
