Remote clinical research with care for sensitive data
Hi Stéfan Stéfansson! You are one of the founders of Sensivo, on a mission to help researchers handle sensitive data when working remotely. Tell us more!
How does Sensivo work?
Sensivo provides clinical researchers teams at medical universities and pharmaceutical companies with a solution to work remotely with each other on their clinical research data without sacrificing privacy and security. It's a lightweight and powerful software that's built to manage sensitive personal data with care.
Who is your business development coach and what was the most important thing they helped you with?
Our business coach is Donnie Lygonis. From the inception of Sensivo, Donnie has really stood by us. He believed in the team and in our vision of how our product could solve the problem we had identified. Donnie is good at simplifying complex ideas, into neat and understandable packaging, and present them in a manner that is easy to consume and understand.
What do you see as Sensivo’s role in the current situation, and what part can you play in the future?
The current situation has changed how and where clinical researchers are working with their data. Our software is allowing researchers and other healthcare professionals to continue to make breakthrough medical discoveries, but now from the comfort of their home, as well as in work.
Donnie, what can you say about the team?
Sensivo is probably one of the best examples of lean startup I have ever seen; they discovered a need and then went on to tailor a solution that was perfectly aligned with the perceived need of the customer, nothing more, nothing less. The team has worked hard on staying laser focused and I think they also are one of the teams with most hours spent in our offices, working constantly to improve their solution. Which of course shows now, the target group researchers only need 5 seconds with the solution to understand that this is truly made for them. I am really proud of the team and what they have accomplished.
