The KTH Innovation pre-incubator program aims to support early stage, tech-based KTH projects with the potential of becoming viable companies. More than 150 companies have passed the program, where KTH students, employees and researchers get free-of-charge support to verify and develop a viable business concept across key areas.

In the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program, we work according to a structured and proven process to give your project optimal conditions for success.
Accepted projects get individual and group coaching, and take part in weekly training workshops and inspirational events together with other teams in the same stage of development.
You get access to KTH Innovation's network and support in questions surrounding contracts and agreements, plus free, 24/7 office space on Campus.

Who can apply to the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program?
Apply to the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program if:
you have a tech-based startup project or research commercialization project.
the core team consists of students, researchers or employees at KTH.
you would say your idea is innovative and unique
you're ready to put extra focus, time and effort on your project
you have a scalable business model and want to be ready to launch your product or service on the market within one to two years.
you are looking for an inspirational environment where you develop together with others.

What's included in the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program?
We have developed a program that gives you the support you need, when you need it. Together with 10-15 other projects, you get:
Business coaching: you get a dedicated coach supporting your startup journey. A higher priority and extra support and focus.
Structured process: we provide you with structure and guidance. Together we set clear goals to make sure you work with the right things. Evaluation sessions after each phase. Read more about the phases here.
Community and office space: we provide free office space access 24/7. You sit in a supportive community with other entrepreneurs. Regular networking events.
Workshops and training: regular workshops and training on relevant topics.
Commercial support: you get access to all KTH Innovation resources, e.g. access to funding, patent attorney, lawyer specialized in IP, our networks etc.

What's the difference from KTH Innovation's regular support?
The KTH Innovation pre-incubator program is tailored to ideas with the potential to become viable companies. You've come a bit further in the development of your idea, and have the ambition and will to accelerate your development and focus more intensely on your idea. During twelve months you follow a program including both volontary and mandatory elements.
In addition to KTH Innovation's regular support, accepted cases get office space on campus, weekly training workshops, extra business development support, and a place in KTH Innovation's supportive community.
