Students from Swedish universities applying to master's programmes
Each year, we welcome more than 200 students with bachelor's degrees from other Swedish universities to join our master's programmes. As our programmes are taught in English, all information for applicants is available on our international website. The same requirements and deadline apply to all applicants. However, if you are in your final year or have completed a bachelor's degree at a Swedish university, there are some differences in the documents you need to submit.
Final year bachelor's degree students
Are you studying your final year in a bachelor's programme of at least 180 credits at another Swedish university? Then, you can apply for a master's programme at KTH. You need to have completed at least 150 credits in your programme by the document submission deadline (3 February 2025). If you meet the requirements and pass the selection, you will be conditionally admitted and your bachelor's degree will be verified through Ladok after arriving at KTH.
If you are studying the final year of a full bachelor's programme at a university in Sweden, your study results will be automatically retrieved from Ladok by the document submission deadline. This means that your do not need to submit a statement of enrollment equal to that of international applicants.
However, if you are studying independent courses or have studied courses within different programmes or at different universities, you need to submit a statement of enrolment confirming that your studies will lead to a bachelor’s degree before the start of the master’s programme.
If you are studying the final year of a bachelor's programme at a university abroad, please follow the instructions from University Admissions .
Application documents
Your application is not complete without the required documents. Some documents are required for all programmes, while some are programme specific. You will find the documents required by each programme through the links below. Students from Swedish universities that use Ladok do not need to submit degree certificates or transcripts.
Join our activities for future students
We provide various activities for applicants and future students in our master's programmes. Some activities provide hands-on tips on how to apply and deep dive into the contents of our programmes. At the same time, some are more focused on the issues international students face, such as tuition fees, scholarships, and residence permits. So even though not everything will be relevant for Swedish applicants, you will be able to find convenient and helpful information.
