Project information

The need for polymeric materials with tailor-made material properties is increasing. The variety of available, degradable biomaterials is still limited to cover a wide enough range of diverse material properties. In cooperation with the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi this project will find a way to synthesize new structures and create higher-order structures and hierarchical structures. The cooperation will give this project a very important input. The organic chemistry skills and the knowledge concerning natural polymers that Professor I.K. Varma\\\'s group possess will give possibilities for new synthetic pathways and development in the field of advanced structures. Our department will contribute with many years of experience in this field and also several of the instruments needed for polymer characterization.
