MSc Thesis Presentations

Published Jun 03, 2025

Mechatronics MSc students presented this year's theses on robot design topics

We are proud to celebrate our MSc students at the Robot Design Lab, who recently presented their master’s thesis projects. This year’s projects explored three exciting directions in robot design:

  • Developed a tendon-driven soft robotic joint for the AKI platform, where adaptive robust control algorithms were synthesized and experimentally validated to achieve safe and precise motion.

  • Applied port-based, multidomain modeling to a compliant robotic joint for the HARU platform, providing insights into the interaction between mechanical, electrical, and control domains in soft robotics.

  • Designed and optimized actuation modules for a wearable exoskeleton, with a focus on balancing control performance and comfort to improve assistive robotic support.
