PhD in Sustainability and Urban Regeneration from ETSAM of Madrid. Architect and Master's in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design. My main interest lies in urban design, urban form and of the built environment and how we can integrate research and theory into practice. My PhD thesis has a focus in the historical evolution of the Stockholm suburbs and the processes that shape them and how they are characterised by the evolution of the concepts of the garden city and functionalims along 20th century. My approach to history of urbanism aims to project the knowledge of the past into the future design of the sustainable city. I work and teach in areas of construction, architecture, urban planning and urban design, and in how they are interconnected, with experience in participatory processes in urban planning and design, user-oriented design and construction, and in addressing environmental impact through place-sensitive, and healthy building technologies, with sustainability and resilience at the core of system thinking, adaptability, evolution, and change.

I look to the history of urbanism to understand how our cities have been conceived and shaped in relation to their cultural, political and economic context, to formulate the questions that shall inform sustainable urban design in the long run.
