Three researchers have been honoured with a prestigious fellowship from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Carlo Fischione , professor in the Department of Network and Systems Engineering, together with Gabor Fodor  and Mikael Johansson , both Professors at the Division of Control Engineering, have all been awarded the title of Fellow of the IEEE, recognised as the world's leading professional body in the fields of electrical and electronic engineering and computer science.

The title of IEEE Fellow is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in one of the IEEE's areas of interest. It is a distinguished membership grade conferred by IEEE, reserved for members who have made significant contributions to the advancement or application of engineering, science, and technology, as well as to the realisation of significant value to society.

Fischione, Fodor and Johansson are all belonging to the KTH School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), one of five schools at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Many faculty members within EECS are IEEE members, but only a select few achieve fellowship. Fewer than 0.1% of IEEE members are annually elevated to this esteemed grade.

"KTH Royal Institute of Technology, in general, and EECS, in particular, are extremely proud of these distinguished awards. We wish the researchers continued success," says Henrik Artman, Deputy Head of School and responsible for Future Faculty.
