KTH's President appointed new Vice President of Unite!

The President of KTH Anders Söderholm has been appointed Vice President of Unite! The University network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering for the period 2025–2028.
What does that mean?
"Unite! has a President and two Vice Presidents who work together to prepare various issues and meetings for the university alliance. In essence, we are a working committee for Unite!."
What do you hope to achieve?
"Here at KTH, we would like Unite! to have a clear profile, as well as prioritizing activities that are sustainable in the long term and offer clear added value to members. I hope to contribute to this."
Unite! comprises nine European universities. What does your new role mean for KTH?
"KTH has been an important Unite! partner since the alliance was founded. My involvement as VP underlines our interest in the alliance and our desire to influence it."
When will students in Europe be able to freely choose courses for their degree, creating their own knowledge smorgasbord? When will this become a reality?
"There are already great opportunities for mobility between European universities, and credits can be transferred between different universities. In a sense, then, the smorgasbord is already laid out. However, we can certainly do more to bring us closer together in Europe, and Unite is a group of universities that should be able to further lower the barriers to interaction between us."
