Pro et contra with Hans Blix
What is the relationship between civil nuclear power and nuclear weapons? This is a question that will be discussed at KTHs debate forum Pro et contra Thursday November 15. The speaker at this seminar is Hans Blix, head of The International Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction, who will be conferred a Honorary Doctor at KTH this Friday November 16.
Hans Blix is going to talk about the need for more nuclear power and less nuclear weapons. He will also describe the challenges for nuclear power: safety in the operation, safe disposal of waste and non-proliferation: How to ensure that enrichment and reprocessing facilities are not used for the production of weapons material. How to strengthen the non-proliferation treaty.
The Pro et contra seminar with Hans Blix will take place Thursday November 15 at 3.30 PM in Q1, Osquldas väg 4 at KTH Campus Valhallavägen.
