Demonstrating our Work in Exoskeleton Technologies in Digitalize in Stockholm 2023
The lab demonstrated the Smart Actuation Module for exoskeleton testing at the annual Digital Futures conference.
On October 18–19, 2023, the Robot Design Lab participated in Digitalize in Stockholm , the annual conference organized by Digital Futures . The event took place at Aula Medica, Karolinska Institutet, and online, bringing together researchers, industry, and policymakers to discuss digital transformation.
At the exhibition, we showcased the Smart Actuation Module for Exoskeletons (SAME), which is the lab's contribution within the EXHILO demonstrator project funded by Digital Futures - a two-year research collaboration with the Promobilia Moveability lab. SAME is an off-board actuation system designed to support the verification and validation of exoskeletons in clinical environments and to enable demonstrations outside of the laboratory.
The demonstration provided an opportunity to present our ongoing work to a broad and diverse audience and to discuss how tools like SAME can help accelerate the development and evaluation of wearable robotic systems.
