Susanna Zeitler Lyne

I am a lecturer in English at KTH Language and Communication, a division in the ITM school's Department of Learning in the Engineering Sciences. My teaching is mainly concerned with English for academic and professional purposes: I am responsible for Essential STEM Communication in English (LS1452), English for Employment (LS2442), and Advancing in English for academic and professional purposes (LS2443). I teach on the doctoral course Writing Scientific Articles (FDS3102) and on the Pre-sessional English course for Master's studies. I also teach on communication courses in Swedish, mainly DA1600, Writing in the Engineering Profession.

I work with individual students in the Centre for Academic Writing and Rhetoric, giving support in either English or Swedish.

Together with Jamie Rinder and Jane Bottomley, I have developed the KTH Guide to scientific writing in English. I am a member of the KTH Language Committee (Språkkommittén).

I received my PhD in English Linguistics from Uppsala University in 2011, with the corpus-based study The Subject of the Verbal Gerund. A Study of Variation in English.
