6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… As we are getting close to 17 October in six days, the next round for application to master’s studies at KTH is right around the corner! I can tell you that I was as excited as all of you back at this moment last year! While counting down to this big day, do you know how these numbers are related to our school? #6 – There are in total of 60 master’s programmes available at KTH
At KTH, there are 60 master’s programmes in English for students to choose from. They are distributed in five schools, namely Architecture and Built Environment (ABE), Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health (CBH), Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), Industrial Engineering and Management (ITM) and Engineering Sciences (SCI). So you could certainly find one that fits you the most!
#5 – The five campuses at KTH
Apart from the beautiful main KTH campus, we have four other campuses spread around Stockholm: KTH Flemingsberg, KTH Kista, KTH Södertälje and KTH Solna. And I am sure you would never get tired of exploring each of them.
#4 – The four pillars
Sustainability, Equality and diversity, Internationalisation and Digitalisation are the four pillars that KTH emphasises. All we do here, including teaching and research, are closely related to the university’s core values.
#3 – The three libraries
We have three libraries in total, including the library at the main campus, the Kista campus and the Södertälje campus. Except for the Kista library, which only opens to KTH affiliated, the other two are public libraries accessible to everyone.

Founded in 1927, KTH is Sweden’s oldest and largest technical university. This year marks the 195th anniversary of our school and its excellence in training numerous outstanding professionals and leaders in the field throughout the past two centuries.

According to the QS World University Rankings 2023, KTH is ranked 89 in the world, making it the top-ranked university in Sweden and the second-best university in the Nordic region. In addition, the rankings of individual academic areas have also excelled, ranging from architecture and built environment to various engineering subjects.
