The subfield of property division and rights systems covers theories regarding society's needs and demands for rational and appropriately designed property units and other land-related rights systems. It also includes effective methods for altering property divisions and rights, incorporating issues concerning property registration and property information. The subfield of land development processes focuses on theories and methods for the alteration and protection of land use, considering technical, legal, economic, and political requirements.
Jenny Paulsson's research addresses several aspects of these subfields. She has contributed to numerous international comparative studies and national research projects in collaboration with the industry. Notably, she has participated in the development of an efficient and sustainable digital urban development process. Her work has also aided in providing a clearer account of 3D property division and in elucidating issues related to the design and application of legislation in the formation of three-dimensional property units.
