KTH offers many freestanding courses taught in English, an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career or deepen your understanding of a particular subject. Courses are primarily aimed at graduated and professional engineers and architects, but everyone with a relevant background is welcome to apply. Some courses are given on campus, and some online.

Freestanding courses are not available for fee-paying applicants
Our freestanding courses are currently only available to applicants that are not required to pay tuition fees. If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen or hold a residence permit for something other than studies in Sweden, you generally do not pay tuition fees. The late application deadline for these courses, combined with the administrative turnaround time of application, admittance and tuition fees, means that fee-paying applicants do not have time to start any of our freestanding courses in time. Also, it is not possible to get a residence permit in time before studies start.
Freestanding courses can normally not be combined into a KTH degree. For this purpose, you must have been admitted to a study programme at KTH. KTH offers one three-year bachelor's degree programme and over 60 two-year master's degree programmes in English.
Are you interested in artificial intelligence or digital development and how it can develop your business? KTH offers several MOOCs, Massive Open Online Courses, that you can take completely free of charge in just a few hours.
KTH organises lectures and seminars in many different subjects for everyone interested in learning more about or deepening their knowledge of a particular topic.
