On 9 April 2025, KTH’s Promobilia Moveability Lab and Robot Design Lab showcased the EXHILO 2 project's exoskeleton technology

On 9 April 2025, the Digital Futures Open Research Day  took place at the Architecture School building on KTH’s main campus, bringing together researchers, industry partners, and societal stakeholders for talks, posters, and discussions.

In the “Robots and People” session, the Robot Design Lab and the Promobilia Moveability Lab presented their EXHILO 2  demonstrator project. The team showcased modular exoskeleton components alongside an integrated solution featuring a hip exoskeleton and our lab's smart actuation module.

EXHILO 2 builds on the first phase of the project ( EXHILO ) by validating actuation modules, expanding human-in-the-loop (HILO) control strategies, and testing the integrated system with prototype exoskeletons (kth.se). The final goal is to develop a modular lower-limb exoskeleton with real-time control that adapts to the user for improved comfort and effectiveness.
