Transfering course websites in Polopoly to KTH Social
New course websites at KTH
From the 1st of June 2012 KTH Social will be the primary platform for course websites at KTH. The change means that it will no longer be possible to create new course websites or new course rounds in Polopoly. This is one step towards creating a unified platform for course information and making it easier for students to access this information.

Here are some of the advantages:
- It is easier to create and edit course material.
- Courses and course rounds are automatically created with information from KTH:s other IT-system, such as schedule, Kopps and LADOK - without you having to do anything.
- The students automatically get notified about activity on the course website via an automatic subscribtion and e-mail notification system.

Frequently asked questions
What happens with course materials/information from previous course rounds?
Previous course rounds will remain in Polopoly and continue to be editable. If they are not removed, the course webpages will be displayed as archived pages.

Why are you closing down the course websites in Polopoly?
This is a step towards collecting course information in one place and to make it easier for students and staff to find and use the information. It is also inefficient from an organizational perspective to maintain multiple systems with the same purpose.
Can anyone help me move my course material to KTH Social?
It is easy to copy course information from Polopoly to KTH Social. If you would like assistance, please attend one of our workshops.

I have a course website in my school's own system. Can I still use KTH Social?
Yes, you can start using your course website right away.
