Workshop - build your course website in KTH Social

The Virtual Campus team has ongoing workshops for teachers and administrators where they give useful advice on how to get started with using KTH Social and upload material to the course page.

Wednesday drop-in

There are drop-in workshops held in ARCs room at KTH Library (follow the red footsteps from the foyer) every Wednesday between 14 and 16, that you are welcome to join if you have any queries regarding your course-, group- , programme webs or Bilda. During these sessions will we help solving the specific problem that you are experiencing. For urgent issues please e-mail the IT Support itsc@kth.se and we will come back to you as soon as possible.

If you are a new user of the course-, group- and programme webs we also offer in-depth workshops where we go through the functionalities. We offer this workshop in two different forms. You can either book a workshop for a group of people at your institution/department/ school free of charge, or join one of the workshops that we hold at the start of a new semester, see times below.

You can easily find out if you have been registered as a teacher for the course by locating the course in the toolbar that is placed at the bottom of the page, don’t forget to login in to KTH Social first. In order to access all teacher functionalities in KTH Social you need to be registered as a teacher in KOPPS. This is a new functionality and you might therefore need to be registered again as a teacher in the Course and programme directory. Your schools KOPPS administrator will be able to help you with the registration, to find you administrator please click here. E-mail your name and the course round you are responsible for.

The Virtual Campus team has on regular basis workshops for teachers and administrators where they give useful advice on how to get started using KTH Social and upload material to the course page.

You are more than welcome to book a workshop for you institution/department/ school by e-mailing Catharina Gottberg (cath@kth.se) with a suggestion of time and date.

Tip on how to prepare for the workshop
* Confirm that you have been provided the role of the teacher for the course in KTH Social. You can easily find out if you have been registered as a teacher for the course by locating the course in the toolbar that is placed at the bottom of the page, don’t forget to login in to KTH Social first. In order to access all teacher functionalities in KTH Social you need to be registered as a teacher in KOPPS. This is a new functionality and you might therefore need to be registered again as a teacher in the Course and programme directory. Your schools KOPPS administrator will be able to help you with the registration, to find you administrator please click here. E-mail your name and the course round you are responsible for.
* Please bring material that you will be using for the course, eg. Course plan. You will be able to get more out of the workshop if you bring your material along, it is however not a requirement. You could nonetheless have your course page done at the end of the workshop. The material can be collected from any course website or system that you are using today. If you plan to use new material for the course you can either e-mail your KTH account and access the material by login to your webmail or bring your laptop with the material to the workshop. Wiks users are able to upload their material in his or hers home directory and then collect it from the web interface.
