Transfering course websites in Polopoly to KTH Social

New course websites at KTH

From the 1st of June 2012  KTH Social will be the primary platform for course websites at KTH . The change means that it will no longer be possible to create new course websites or new course rounds in Polopoly. This is one step towards creating a unified platform for course information and making it easier for students to access this information.

Your new social course website is already online.

Here are some of the advantages:

• It is easier to create and edit course material. 
• Courses and course rounds are automatically created with information from KTH:s other IT-system, such as schedule, Kopps and LADOK - without you having to do anything.
• The students automatically get notified about activity on the course website via an automatic subscribtion and e-mail notification system.

Frequently asked questions

What happens with course materials/information from previous course rounds?

Previous course rounds will remain in Polopoly and continue to be editable. If they are not removed, the course webpages will be displayed as archived pages.

Why are you closing down the course websites in Polopoly?

Detta är ett steg i att samla information om kurserna på en plats och därmed göra det enklare för studenter att hitta information. Ur ett förvaltningsperspektiv är det inte heller hållbart att underhålla den här typen av funktionalitet i flera systemmiljöer.

Kan jag få hjälp med att flytta mitt kursmaterial till kurshemsidan i KTH Social?

Du kan lätt kopiera över information direkt till den nya kurswebben. Vill du ha hjälp och stöd med kopieringen och användningen av de nya kurswebbarna kan du delta i vår workshops, https://www.kth.se/social/page/workshops-for-att-skapa-kurshe/

Det finns möjlighet att få hjälp med att manuellt överföra en av det här läsårets kursmaterial i Polopoly till nästa läsår på KTH Social. Hör i sånt fall av dig till din skolwebbsansvarig. Meddela vilken kurs och kursomgång det gäller (inkludera gärna en länk), vilken information du vill ha överförd och om du vill ha sidorna på kursnivå eller vilken kursomgång de ska hamna på, kontaktperson på kursen (för återkoppling och ev. frågor).
