This requires some of the most advanced instruments ever constructed, such as the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and the James Webb Space Telescope that was launched last year. You will learn skills that will allow you to tackle any problem you want in the future, whether you continue in academia or take a job in industry after your degree.¶

Come and meet past and current students from the subatomic track. We will discuss how it is to do your master degree in Subatomic and Astroparticle physics, and also hear about how it is to pursue a doctoral degree. Feel free to drop in anytime to take part in the discussions and get a chance to ask questions.¶

16:30-17:00 Albanova telescope tour¶

We will visit the AlbaNova telescope (that you can see at the top of the rotunda), and discuss how it is to do astrophysics research today.¶

17:00-17:30 Panel discussion, Room FD41 & digital¶

A panel of faculty members will discuss a hot topic in today's research, and then you will be invited to ask any questions you want to the panel. Take the chance to learn about your favourite topic from the experts.
