Fees for Medical Engineering
A degree from KTH is an investment for life. For the master's programme in Medical Engineering, application and tuition fees are required for some students.
Who is required to pay fees?
Citizens of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland are not required to pay application and tuition fees. If you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland you are generally required to pay application and tuition fees. There are however some exceptions.

Tuition fee for master's programme in Medical Engineering
The full programme tuition fee for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens studying this programme is SEK 310,000.
Services for fee-paying students
The following addtional service apply for fee-paying students, EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Urban Mobility and Erasmus Mundus students, and KTH or Swedish Institute scholarship holders starting their studies in 2023:
• Accommodation guaranteed up to 11 months during the first year of studies,
• FAS plus comprehensive insurance (Swedish Institute scholarship holders, Erasmus Mundus, EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy and EIT Urban Mobility students are covered by separate insurance),
• a pre-sessional English course during three weeks in August, free of charge.
How to pay the tuition fee
The tuition fee is charged in advance for each semester. You can pay by card or bank transfer. An invoice for the first semester is sent to admitted fee-paying students by email one to two weeks after the admission results are announced. The due date for paying the tuition fee is stated on the invoice. If your payment is not received by this date you might lose your place in the programme.
