Courses for Engineering Mechanics
The two-year master's programme in Engineering Mechanics consists of three terms of courses and one final term dedicated to the master's degree project. Each term consist of approximately 30 ECTS credits. Depending on which track you choose, you will study different courses. The courses presented on this page apply to studies starting in autumn 2026.
Year 1
For all tracks, compulsory courses + at least one of the optional courses from one of the tracks that the student did not choose must be taken.
*SD2110 is for students who are pursuing the Sound and Vibration track and do not have a basic course in Sound and Vibration in their bachelor's degree.
**SE1025 is mandatory for students who follow the Solid mechanics track and do not have a corresponding course in their bachelor's degree.
***SG2225 must be read instead of SG2214 only by students who have read SG1218 or the equivalent.
