1.4.g Lightweight Design/Naval Design: Master’s Level

second cycle, fourth and fifth year – 20 credits

This is a project based design course where a lightweight product/naval system is developed from idea to working product. The course consists mainly of project-oriented teamwork such as planning, technical design, experimental investigations and manufacturing. In addition, regular informative and decisive project meetings are held, and frequent informal discussions with teachers. Opportunities to practice leading roles such as project manager, group leader and treasurer could occur. A number of relevant guest lectures are planned, topics range from purely technical to project management and communication, normally after consultation with the course participants. Teams of 7-15 students.
