Fields for degree projects

The field for the degree project must be stated at the top of the cover of the thesis. The area to be specified depends on the type of degree you are going to take. For the bachelor's degree and master's degree the main field of study is stated, for the degree of bachelor/master of science in engineering, the field of technology is specified, for the degree of master of Science in Education, the subject area is stated. Only the fields listed below may be used, no others. The field is written in small letters in Swedish and with an initial capital letter on each main word in English.

Bachelor's degree

State the main field of study. There are only two possible fields at KTH: Technology (teknik), Architecture (arkitektur). See the list of main fields of study at KTH.

Master's degree

State the main field of study. Se lista över KTH:s huvudområden. If you are not aware of which main field of study your degree has, look up the degree project course that you are taking the course catalogue, and check which main field of study it belongs to.

Högskoleingenjörsexamen och civilingenjörsexamen

Ange teknikområde. Teknikområdet är området som anges i programmets namn efter "Högskoleingenjörsprogram i" respektive "Civilingenjörsprogram i", till exempel datateknik eller teknisk matematik. Se lista över KTH:s program.

Civilingenjör och lärare

Använd det ämnesområde som passar bäst med examensarbetets innehåll:
