Degree Project

The instructions in this group apply to all theses at 30hp which is examined by CSC. In addition to the general instructions special rules apply to the different thesis topics, such as how to register for thesis presentation. These can be found under the different course categories in the menu to the left.

General

In these pages we will try to give you an idea of ​​what we can provide for support and what requirements we have when doing thesis work at CSC. Theses are always conducted formally at the school: you have a tutor at the school , the school have requirements for the task, solution methods, the report's content and design, and the thesis is approved by the school. However, the task can be retrieved from an external client in which case the practical work are often carried out there.

Thesis work is always made within a specific subject. There are several thesis topics that are available at CSC, such as computer science, media and human-computer interaction.

You must always contact the thesis coordinator for your thesis topic and register your thesis before you begin.

Who the thesis coordinator is for your subject is specified in the courses' pages in the left menu.

Some thesis topics apply group supervision with fixed start and end dates. Find out what applies to your thesis topic in the meny to the left. In cases where individual tutoring is applied and you know someone at CSC that you think might work as a tutor for your intended degree, you can contact him or her directly.

Apart from the KTH-wide rules the CSC-School also have specific rules that apply to the different thesis topics.

Note: You can not use an already started or finished work to get it approved as a thesis project.
